Yes, the Jasper County Burn Ban is still active and so are the fines that come with it

While surrounding counties have dropped their burn bans, Jasper County is still under a ban regardless of the recent rains.

ETB has reached out to Jasper County Judge Mark Allen to find out.

Allen said, "We're still under a burn ban for now but conditions are improving."

Allen shared two graphics which explained why our County is still under the ban. As you can see, Jasper County is one of the only areas still in dark orange which shows elevated fire danger. So, until further notice, the Jasper County burn ban is still in force and so are the fines that are associated with it.
