Updated: Wreck in front of MVP's in Jasper

A Jasper woman and two children were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Jasper shortly before noon today.

29-year-old Brittaney Vasquez of Jasper was driving a 2013 Ford Edge with her passengers, a 9, 5, and 13-year-old children.

Vasquez was traveling northbound on US 96 when she failed to yield the right of way to a 2022 Infinity QX60 SUV driven by 62-year-old Stephen Woody of Longview and his passenger, Pamela Woody who was traveling southbound on US 96.

As Vasquez attempted to turn into the parking lot of MVP's Restaurant, she turned in front of the Infinity and was hit by the vehicle.

Vasquez and two of her passengers were transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital by Acadian EMS for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
