Wood working shop completely destroyed by fire
Just before 11:30 Friday night, Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department and Jasper Volunteer Fire Department were called out to 5907-5941 S. Hwy 96 for a garage fire.
The unidentified caller said that there were a number of propane tanks in the building. He added that he is a wood worker and the building was his workshop.
According to the property owner, he was asleep when the fire started and had no idea what caused the blaze.
Only one propane bottled exploded, but the building was a complete loss, however the man was able to move his truck which was parked next to the fire, with limited damage.
There were no injuries reported.
