Wildcats Swat the Hornets!!

Last the Wildcat’s Den was packed as the Wildcats battled the Hardin Hornets!! The Wildcats were looking to improve on the season with a win over Hardin. Things got started as W. Burchett racked up 9-points in the 1 Qtr. helping the Wildcats take the lead 16-9. The 2nd Qtr. the Hornets had a big showing outscoring the Wildcats 13-8. Wildcats held a 2-point lead going into the half. It was the 2nd half where the Wildcats showed out! B. Garner led things off with a break away dunk, and the Hornets tried to answer that but was swatted away. D.Jackson and D. Kelley led the offensive front with a combined score of 11-points. The Hornets did their best to outscore the WIldcats, but they fell short. Things got heated when officials were trying verify the score, that two parents had to be escorted out. The ensuing Wildcat scoring offense had two players getting Technical Fouls from both teams. Things continued to get exciting when a Wildcat player drove the lane with a player confrontation. This again drew technical fouls from both sides, bringing a total of 4 on the night. The Wildcats kept the momentum for the remainder of the game taking the W 62-59! Senior Wesley Burchett had a high of 21-points for the night. Gabriel Jimenez had a career high of 10-points!! Wildcats travel to Kountze Tuesdays to take on the State Ranked Lions! So let’s head to Kountze and pack the stands!!
