Wildcats Shutout Longhorns

The Wildcats had something to prove tonight after a tough loss to the Panthers last Friday. The Longhorns looking for another district win to keep them in the playoff hunt. Tonight was Homecoming in The Ville and the stands were packed. Prior to the game, homecoming ceremonies took place announcing this years King & Gueen. Drum roll.....Congratulations to Jarron Roden & Karlie Potter on being crowned this years royalty! After the pre-game activities the Wildcats took to the field going up 14-0 in the 1st Qtr. The 2nd Qtr the Longhorns couldn't contain the Wildcats after they scored 32 unanswered points. This had the Wildcats in the lead 46-0 at the half. Not much happened as the Wildcats only scored 6 points. The Wildcats were able to knockout two more TD's bringing the Final score 66-0 over the Longhorns. Wildcat's defense did a grab job of containing the Longhorns # 44 as he has a threat all year. The defense even had an int, forced fumble, and muffed kick return that was returned for a TD. The Wildcats will need to carry that momentum into the next two games in order to secure a playoff berth. East Chambers upsetting the Panthers tonight, so that pushes the Wildcats into second in district. Next week the Wildcats travel to Hardin to play the Hardin YellowJackets. So let's load up the Paw Pack, Crazy Moms Club, and all the Bleacher Creatures made that drive to Hardin to show them what the Red & Black is all about!! #WildcatNation #WinTheDay
