Wildcat Sweeps in McKinney!

We this past weekend our award winning Cheer Squad competed in the McKinney Spirit Competition in McKinney,TX. They won in every category from Best Music, Best Crowd Leader, and took 1st in their division! This Cheer Squad has been putting in the work since last April to prepare them for these competitions. People don’t understand that this sport is very demanding not only on the body but mentality. They put in early mornings, late evenings, and weekends to make sure their choreograph is in sync. During this competition Kirbyville also participated in an Exhibition Performance for select teams to showcase their talent along with 5A & 6A schools. After their winning performance, the Cheer Squad traveled back 4.5 hours to compete in HJ for their High School Showcase allowing local teams to showcase their routines. Kirbyville Cheer Squad once again proved their hard work and dedication as they were clearly top performers during the showcase. Now they turn their focus to UIL State Championships where they will battle it out against 84 teams in their divisions. Kirbyville has been successful placing in the top 5 over the last couple of years. This year I have a feeling this Wildcat Cheer Squad could win it all!
