Wildcat 8th Graders Win District Opener!!

The 8th grade Wildcats looked a little shaky at first out the gate, but tightened it up after the 1st Qtr. The Buc struck first with a 35-yard field goal making it 3-0. The Wildcats weren’t out with B. Reagan connecting on multiple passes to L. Clark, putting the Cats on top 8-3 going into the half. H. Burnett did his part punching the 2-extra points on a short run. Then turned around with a BIG hit on the kick-off! Your 8th Grade Wildcats pulled off a nail biter against the Wast Chambers Bucs!! The Bucs got the board with a pass play then next score was a punt return for a TD. The Cats defense held them both times on the extra point attempt. The big play in second half was a 80+ kick-off return by T. Williams. This put the Cats on top 22-17 with less than 2 minutes to play. The Cats held them to 4 and out with H. Hermid being a big defense play maker. Even J. Nelson got a fumble recovery tonight helping turn the tempo game in the Wildcats favor!!! Let’s Go Junior High Wildcats!! #WinTheDay
