18-year-old Arthur Logan Orosco was the victim

The Jasper County Grand Jury indicted 18-year-old Cody Dwayne Vann of Buna yesterday on the charge of murder for the July 10, 2024 shooting death of 18-year-old Arthur Logan Faver Orosco of Buna.

As we reported in July, Orosco’s body was discovered at around 2 am, dumped on the shoulder of Hwy 96 near Tractor Supply in Buna. According to the report, Orosco had multiple gunshot wounds.

In our article back in July, Jasper County Information Officer Karli Cherry said that enough information was discovered to necessitate an evidentiary search warrant at a residence where Orosco had been living. During the search information was gathered indicating that the victim was with Vann the night before his death when an argument between the two men arose, which allegedly led to the shooting.

Vann remains in Jasper County Jail on a $1,000,000.00 bond
