UPDATE on Wanted Suspect - Andrew Lee Ancell

I was in formed this morning that Andrew Lee Ancell was struck and killed by a train in Nacogdoches, Texas.   Andrew Lee Ancell had active warrants from 4 counties before he arrived in Newton.    Ancell was charged with numerous offenses for breaking into a Deer Camp in Newton County near Hwy 255 and CR 1090 on July 28, 2023.    Preliminaryinformation provided to the Sheriff’s Office advised that Ancell was being sought by law enforcement prior to being struck by the train.  We will provide additional information as it becomes available.
