Update on search at Hwy 190 East Bridge

Newton County Sheriff Robert Burby 5pm, February 21, 2024 - UPDATE SEARCH AT HWY 190 EAST BRIDGE:

We continued our search today with negative results. Beauregard Sheriff’s Office and Texas Parks and Wildlife searched the water and shoreline by boats using sonar equipment and a Drone from DeRidder Fire Department.

Searchers today were members of the NCSO, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Bon Wier and Merryville VFDs, Beauregard Parish S.O.

Food and drinks provided by the Apostolic Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Newton. The search will continue in the morning.
