Update on Saturday's Murder in Jasper
As we previously reported, a young woman was beaten to death at Myrtis Village apartments in Jasper early Saturday morning.
According to Jasper Police, the victim, 24-year-old Rosalin Lewis was beaten to death in her home at the complex. Her boyfriend, 23-year-old William Christion Thomas of Livingston was arrested on Saturday and arraigned Sunday morning, charged with her murder.
Thomas is currently being held in Jasper County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond.
Lewis was reportedly the mother of three small children.
Our original story; At around 5 a.m. Saturday morning, Jasper Police were dispatched to Myrtis Village in Jasper.
Details are a bit sketchy now, but what is known is that the 24-year-old female victim, a resident of the apartment complex, has died and that the 23-year-old suspect from Livingston believed to be her boyfriend has been arrested. He is being held at the Jasper County Jail.
