Two-vehicle crash sends teen driver to hospital with minor injuries
A two-vehicle crash of two teen drivers on Farm-to-Market Road 252, near County Road 506, that occurred Friday sent one of the teenagers to Jasper Memorial.
According to DPS Media Sergeant Shana Clark, "At approximately 1:45 p.m., a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling north, while a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado was traveling south. It is reported that the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado failed to yield right-of-way while turning left, striking the Chevrolet Colorado".
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, is identified as a 16-year-old male from Jasper. He was evaluated on the scene and released with no injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet Colorado, identified as a 17-year-old female of Jasper, was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Because both drivers are teenagers, names will not be released.
