Two vehicle crash near Wiergate sent two Californian's to the hospital
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a two-vehicle crash on state Highway 87, north of Wiergate, that happened Saturday, October 27th.
DPS Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 2:30 p.m., a 2023 Ford F-150, towing a 2014 boat trailer, was traveling south while a 2007 Toyota Camry was traveling north. It is reported that the Toyota failed to yield right-of-way while turning left and struck the Ford".
The driver of the Ford, identified as 57-year-old Charles McGee Jr. of Westlake, La., and a passenger, identified as 60-year-old Kevin Comeaux, also of Westlake, La., were not injured.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as 19-year-old Yowceph Hubbard of Lancaster, Ca. and a passenger, identified as 19-year-old Jazzmyn Adams, also of Lancaster, Ca. were transported to Christus Memorial Jasper for non-life-threatening injuries.
