Two vehicle crash in Jasper sends one to the hospital
Just after 8 am today, Jasper Police Department was called out to the corner of Main and Childers Street.
According to the report, 59-year-old Theressa Annette Jones of Jasper was traveling North on Main Street driving a blue 2014 Toyota 4Runner approaching Childers Street.
At that same time, a 2017 black Chrysler 300 driven by 85-year-old Kenneth Winston Tate, also of Jasper was traveling West on Childers Street. Tate said that when he attempted to stop his vehicle, his foot slipped off the brake and hit the gas pedal instead causing his car to hit Jones' car in the passenger side.
Jones was taken by Ambulance to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
