Two-vehicle accident sends one to St. E. with possible life threatening injuries

Beech Grove Volunteer Fire Department was called out to assist The Texas Department of Public Safety with a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 190, west of Jasper at 9:45 Friday morning.

DPS Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "A 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling west in the inside lane (on Hwy 190), while a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse was traveling west in the outside. It is reported that the Chevrolet made an unsafe lane change and struck the Jeep on its left side."

The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 27-year-old Toni Stanley of Woodville, was transported to Christus Saint Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of possible life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Jeep, identified as 43-year-old Jamie Harrod of Woodville, was evaluated on-scene for injuries and released.
