Two vehicle accident sends Kirbyville woman to the hospital

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers investigated a crash on Farm-to-Market Road 82, near the Newton County line, that occurred today, November 21.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 3:19 p.m., a 2015 Honda Accord was traveling east, while a 1997 Ford F-150 was traveling west. It is reported that the driver of the Honda made an unsafe turn in front of the Ford and was struck as it attempted to turn into a private drive.

The driver of the Honda, identified as 79-year-old Ferrel Glenn of Call, was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Ford and a 15-year-old passenger were not injured. The driver is identified as Jason Telles of Kirbyville.
