Two vehicle accident North of Jasper on Sunday resulted in only minor injuries

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 96, north of Jasper, that occurred Sunday, September 1st.


The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 3:50 p.m., a 2008 Chevrolet Impala was traveling north while a 2013 Ford F-150 was traveling south. It is reported that the Ford hydroplaned, crossed over into the northbound lane, and struck the Chevrolet. 


The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 38-year-old Kamyrian Moore of Minden, La., was evaluated on-scene for injuries and released.


The driver of the Ford, identified as 82-year-old Bob Conner of Hemphill, was evaluated on-scene for injuries and released.
