Two vehicle accident leaves two dead near LP plant

Texas Department of Public Safety are investigating a two vehicle fatality crash on US Highway 190.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates on Dec. 16, at approximately 9:10 a.m., a 2020 Nissan Sentra was traveling westbound. A 2004 Cadillac passenger car was traveling eastbound, attempted to make a pass in a no-passing zone, and collided with the Nissan.

The driver of the Cadillac, Autjuan Turner, was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. The passenger Stephon Johnson 30, of Burkeville was pronounced deceased on the scene by Jasper County Justice of the Peace.

The driver of the Nissan, Audrey Williams, was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Family members have confirmed that Mrs Williams has also passed away.
