Two vehicle accident in Jasper sends one to the hospital
Around 5 pm Tuesday, Jasper Police and Jasper Volunteer Fire Department and First Responders were called out to the corner of South Bowie and West Gibson Street (Hwy 190) in Jasper for a two vehicle accident.
According to Jasper PD Lieutenant Garrett Foster, a 2011 Chevrolet Volt 4dr sedan driven by 31-year-old Kaylie Odonnal of Jasper was stopped at South Bowie waiting to turn onto Hwy 190. At that same time, a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt 4dr sedan driven by 23-year-old Alexus Harris of Louisiana was on Hwy 190, attempting to turn onto South Bowie.
According to the report, Odonnal pulled out, but stated that she didn't see the car driven by Harris and struck the vehicle on the driver's side door. Harris was taken by EMS complaining about head and arm pain.
Both vehicles towed by Jasper Xxon Towing.
