Two-vehicle accident at Rayburn yesterday

At approximately 6:12 pm Wednesday, a two vehicle accident happened on Recreational Road 255, at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 1007.

 

The Department of Public Safety Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 6:12 p.m., a GMC Terrain was traveling south on F.M. 1007, while a 2002 Ford Thunderbird was traveling west on R.E. 255. It is reported that the driver of the GMC failed to yield to the Ford at the stop intersection and struck it on its right side".

 

The driver of the GMC, identified as 83-year-old Janice Fesperman of Brookeland, was not injured.

 

The driver of the Ford, identified as 76-year-old Jimmy Glidewell of Brookeland, was not injured.


Lake Rayburn Volunteer Fire Department responded with 2 apparatus and 10 firefighters. There were no injuries.
