Tuesday morning wreck in Evadale sent three to the hospital

At 6:35 Tuesday morning, the Evadale Volunteer Fire Department and local law enforcement were called out to Hwy 105 near Pr 8285 in Evadale, for a two vehicle accident.

The Department of Public Safety Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 6:35 a.m., a Nissan Maxima was traveling south, followed by a Chevrolet Cruz. It is reported that the Nissan slowed to make a left turn into a private drive and was rear ended by the Chevrolet."
The driver of the Nissan, identified as 34-year-old Randall Cottongin of Kirbyville, was not injured.
The driver of the Chevrolet and two child passengers, a 3-year-old child and a 9-month-old child, were transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver is identified as 29-year-old Faviola Vasquez of Jasper.
