Tropical Outlook and 7 Day Forecast

A tropical wave in the Eastern Caribbean has a low chance of development during the next 7 days. It is expected to stay south of our area thanks to upper-level high pressure.

Strong upper-level high pressure centered over Northwest Texas to the Four Corners is responsible for the hot, dry weather Monday.

The high will remain strong through the rest of this week and the weekend. This will result in hot, dry weather with abundantly sunny afternoons and highs climbing into the upper 90s to possibly the Century Mark.

Early next week, the high will weaken which will allow afternoon highs to “cool” into the middle 90s with very isolated showers, storms possible.

In the Tropics, a wave near the Lesser Antilles is expected to remain south of our area and instead move into Mexico.

Strong upper-level high pressure will dominate our area's weather over the next week resulting in hot, humid, dry conditions. High temperatures may climb into the upper 90's to near the Century Mark.
