Tri-Community VFD made quick work out of a brush fire today
Wednesday at approximately 3:30pm Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for a woods and brush fire.
The first responding units found a burning debris pile had gotten into a near by field and was spreading due to this afternoons high winds.
The department responded with 1 brush truck and 7 personnel.
The fire was quickly contained with no significant property damage.
A spokesperson for the department had this to say, "Folks please be careful. This cold weather definitely makes us want to be out doing yard clean up projects but the ground is still very dry."
Keep an eye on any debris piles that may be burning.
