The search continues

The search continues today for the second victim from early Wednesday mornings accident.

Emergency diver David Littlefield said as of 11:30 this morning, "Still no luck. We are quitting around lunchtime. Then it will be just a waiting period. There will still be a few game wardens still here and a group from Vidor called 409 has joined the search".

Jasper County Emergency Corp, Texas Game Warden, DPS, and Evadale Fire Department along with the 409 Club have been hard at work conducting the search.

Littlefield said that they were told by DPS Trooper Scott Falmer that the woman, 49-year-old Dana Kendrick is actually "doing better after having a couple of surgeries".

*In our earlier report, DPS Sergeant Shana Clark said that a 2014 Dodge Ram 2500 was traveling north and reportedly traveled off the road to the left, where it struck the guardrail and overturned multiple times, causing the driver 49-year-old Dana Kendrick of Buna to be ejected.

Kendrick was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Jasper County Information Deputy Karli Cherry said, (County Officials are searching for a possible second person) "We sent the Emergency Corps based on a call we received however we have no information confirming that there are any additional occupants. We are looking out of an abundance of caution but nothing confirming at this time".
