The March meeting of the Kirbyville Woman's Civic Club focused on good health with a Spring theme!
In their March meeting, the Kirbyville Woman's Civic Club focused on good health and healthcare. It was a large crowd with lots of goodies and fun for everyone!
Royce Greer summed up the meeting nicely by saying, "The Kirbyville Woman’s Civic Club has many 'Thank You’s' to the community members who reached out to make our March meeting on Health and Wellness such a huge success."
Greer continued by saying, "Our area health services provided some great items for take-home bags for our ladies. Belinda Trest provided nice bags from BMT, Bulk Master Top. Others were Harbor Hospice, Faith Home Health, Olive Branch Hospice, Heart to Heart Hospice, Synergy Home Care, Avalon Place, Paradigm Health Care, Brookedale Senior Living, and Casita De Manuel. Thank you Kim Harris for your help.
A big Thank You to Stacey Birdsong for a great demonstration on Chair Yoga. And Everything U for providing cups, straws, and lids for our smoothies. Our members Jackie Summit, Sylvia Romano, and Lynell Horn provided other healthy snacks and Easter decorations."
Regarding next month's gathering, Greer said, "Next month we are anticipating a great program from Brittany DeLaGarza with Harvest House in Beaumont. She will be addressing the serious issue of child sex trafficking, what our community needs to be aware of, and the services provided to find safe havens for the children rescued."
Guests are welcome to our program if you are interested in learning more about this issue. Just contact a member for information. April 11 at 1:30 at the Community House next to the Library.
