Suspected Metal Thieves Arrested by Jasper County Sheriff's Office
Jasper County has had a busy day today.
On January 8th, at approximately 1:00 PM, Sergeant Kasey Hawthorne received a call regarding suspicious activity in the vicinity of County Road 245 and Highway 96 in north Jasper County. Sergeant Hawthorne responded where she located two white males attempting to pull wire out of the ground.
The large telephone wire was identified as wire belonging to AT&T.
The two males were identified as Monte Joseph Rollan and Cody Allen Mick, both of Jasper. They were placed in the Jasper County Jail and charged with Theft of Material, a state felony.
I appreciate the efforts of Sergeant Hawthorne and the citizens of Jasper County.
