Stove fire this morning stemming from "electrical issues"

Just after 9am Jasper Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Village Walk Apartments due to a smoke filled apartment.

Engine 3, Engine 2, and Tower 1 responded with 14 personnel and EMS plus Jasper Police.

Once inside, fire fighters discovered the vent hood had electrical issues causing damages to the appliance, wall, and stove below.

No injuries were reported.
