Stolen travel trailer recovered, suspects identified
On February 18, 2025, at approximately 10:20 PM, a travel trailer stolen in Roganville on Monday night was located and recovered in San Augustine County. The suspects have been identified as Cody R. Thompson, 42, of Kirbyville and Samantha K. Fountain, 39, of Kirbyville. Arrest warrants are being issued for both suspects.
The people of Jasper County work hard to provide nice things for them and their families, we will do everything we can to put individuals like these in jail and recover property that has been stolen from them. We will not be out worked. I want to thank the citizens of Jasper County and across Southeast Texas for all of their tips that led to the recovery of this stolen travel trailer. Additionally, I would like to thank the hard working men and women of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and the San Augustine County Sheriff’s Office.
P.S.- to both of our suspects , Sheriff Robert Cartwright of San Augustine isn’t to happy with ya’ll either. After dumping the travel trailer, to disguise the looks of your vehicle, you removed the camper shell and left it in the middle of the county road.
