Staff member struck by vehicle at Kirbyville Jr High, transported to Jasper Memorial with non-life-threatening injuries

There was quite a stir at Kirbyville Jr. High this morning. Information at this time is limited, but what we do know is that a staff member was assisting in the drop-off area and somehow a car struck the staff member.

The following is a press release from the school:

"There was an accident at the Junior High this morning (12/11/24) where a car from the drop-off line struck a staff member. The staff member was taken by ambulance to the hospital. They were alert and talking to first responders. The injury does not appear to be life-threatening. Our prayers for a speedy recovery go out to our injured staff member."

ETB will update our readers as more information becomes available
