Spurger two-vehicle crash on Thanksgiving sends one to the hospital

A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of FM 92 and FM 1013, in the city of Spurger happened on Thanksgiving just before noon.


The Department of Public Safety Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 11:48 a.m., a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling west on F.M. 1013 and waiting to turn onto F.M. 92, while a 2002 Buick LCF was traveling north on F.M. 92. It is reported that the Chevrolet failed to yield the right-of-way while turning left and was struck by the Buick".    


According to Clark, the driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 28-year-old Rusty McMahon of Kirbyville, refused treatment on the scene. However, the driver of the Buick, identified as 68-year-old Carol Davis of Crockett, was transported to Christus Southeast for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
