Single-vehicle crash sent two to the hospital, one with life threatening injuries

The Texas Department of Public Safety investigated a single-vehicle crash on County Road 078, approximately one-half mile west of County Road 80, off of state Highway 63, that occurred today, April 16.

DPS Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, ”The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 4 p.m., a 2019 Ram pickup was traveling west. It is reported that for an unknown reason, the driver traveled off the road to the right and struck a protective concrete barrier for a culvert."

The driver, identified as 78-year-old Glenn Mobley of Jasper, was flown to HCA Conroe for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The unidentified adult passenger , was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
