Sheriff-Elect Chuck Havard announces Administrative Support Staff
I am pleased to announce the Administrative Support Staff of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office beginning January 1, 2025. Donna Berger, Kim Boutin and Cynthia Clark will make up our Administrative Support Staff.
Donna Berger of Jasper is currently an administrative assistant for the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and will be promoted on January 1, 2025 as the lead Administrative Assistant. She has faithfully served the citizens of Jasper County for the last 22 years with the County Auditor’s Office, County Treasurer’s Office and has been with the Sheriff’s Office for just over three years. She has two sons and two grandchildren and her hobbies are spending time with her family (especially her grandchildren).
Kim Boutin of Buna will be coming to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office after a long and distinguished career in public education. She spent 22 years as a classroom teacher prior to becoming a counselor for the last several years of her career. She is currently the counselor for Mauriceville Middle School and will be retiring at the end of the year to become an administrative assistant for the Sheriff’s Office. She graduated from high school in Buna and earned her Bachelor and Master’s degrees from Lamar University. She has been married to her husband, Keith for 33 years and they have three children and a granddaughter. She enjoys camping, hunting, traveling and spending time with her family.
Cynthia Clark of Jasper will be our part-time administrative assistant. She is a lifelong resident of Jasper County and worked many years in the Jasper County Clerk’s Office. She has been working part-time at the Sheriff’s Office for the past several months and will remain in that capacity. She has two sons, Beau and Alan and also has four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her main hobby is spending time with her grandchildren and watching them compete in athletics.
As with most organizations, law enforcement administrative professionals provide an incredible service to the citizens. They do most of the work behind the scenes and are often times the most loyal employees. They are the glue that keeps an office running smoothly and efficiently. Their contributions tend to go unnoticed but they show up every day and get the job done. The support that these professionals will provide will ensure that our men and women in uniform will be able to spend the majority of their time in your neighborhoods, being proactive. I thank them for their willingness to serve and I look forward to working with these ladies and them keeping us in line!
