Sharp eyed Deputy nabs a wanted suspect early this morning in Buna

BUNA, TX- Early Sunday March 16th, at approximately 3:50 AM, a Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputy was patrolling Cr 773 when he noticed a male walking down the road.
After seeing the patrol car, the individual ducked his head and began running through the backyards of several houses. At one point, the man ran behind a house and attempted to hide underneath it.
The deputy soon found the suspect and placed him under arrest.
The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Tyler Payne, of Buna was wanted out of Hardin County on a Motion to Revoke Probation for a Criminal Trespass, Theft of Property and Failure to Appear.
Payne was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard wants to remind the public that Payne is innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Sheriff Chuck Havard would also like to thank his deputies for patrolling the neighborhoods of Jasper County and being vigilant.
