Updated: 'Serial' reckless driver nabbed again in Kirbyville
Last week on January 28th, a Kirbyville man was arrested for doing 'donuts' in Kirbyville Cemetery and was charged with Reckless Damage or Destruction of Property. Apparently, he didn't learn his lesson because he was arrested again for speeding down side streets in residential areas in Kirbyville.

20-year-old Henry Shaw Jr. of Kirbyville was arrested again on Sunday, February 2nd, and charged with Reckless Driving.
In both situations, Shaw was captured on security cameras exhibiting his dangerous driving. It wasn't long before residents began posting videos from outdoor security cameras onto Facebook where it was quickly confirmed to be Shaw in the same truck as before.
On January 30th, Kirbyville Police Officer Ashley Arce received a call from a City of Kirbyville worker stating that Shaw was seen tearing up the road along the railroad tracks. Arce was working in the school zone at the time of the call but she contacted Kirbyville Police Officer Scott Duncan to see if he could stop Shaw from tearing up the area, but unfortunately Shaw had already moved on to another location.
Duncan then spoke to Shaw's family. Meanwhile, Arce spoke to the Kirbyville Light and Power staff.
According to Arce, KL&P staff indicated that they witnessed Shaw driving from Main Street, turning onto Kacey Street and then turning left on E. Harris Street all the while going in excessive speed.
Arce added, "I spoke to Donna Lacey who made a formal complaint as she had cameras and she stated that at 3:45 pm she heard a truck flying down her street and then lock up the brakes at Elizabeth Street, but the vehicle was gone before she could get out to see it. Lacey stated that she later saw it on the cameras and knew it to be a truck that frequently comes down her road and she knows the truck to be usually driven by Henry Shaw. She stated that Henry Shaw's grandfather lives a block over from her so he drives the road frequently and usually is speeding as he comes down the road and ignores the stop sign. She stated that she provided a video of the incident that happened today."
Arce said she also spoke with the neighbor, James Fowler who also provided a statement about his incident with Shaw. Fowler stated that he, referring to (Henry Shaw) or the same person who was identified in the grave vandalism on Facebook, sped down the road and Fowler stated that he yelled slow down that kids live down here. Fowler said that Shaw slammed on the brakes and got out of the vehicle trying to get him to fight. Shaw reportedly called Fowler slurs and threatened him.
Both charges were Class C Misdemeanors. Shaw sat his time out in custody on both and has been released.
