Second victim in Neches River Bridge crash has been located in the river below

DPS Press Release:

A body has been recovered in the Neches River in connection with the crash that occurred on May 8, 2024.

Homer Crawford, 73, of Beaumont was located this morning, May 11, 2024, with the assistance of Evadale Volunteer Fire Department, Jasper County Emergency Corp, 409 Search and Rescue, and the Texas Game Wardens. Crawford was pronounced deceased on scene by a Justice of the Peace.

Evidence supports Crawford being the driver when the crash occurred. His passenger, Dana Kendrick, remains in critical condition.
