The Texas Department of Public Safety investigated the crash on County Road 278, off Farm-to-Market 1408, that occurred Tuesday, October 29.
DPS Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 5:05 p.m., a Jasper ISD school bus was traveling east around a curve, while a 2010 Mack truck tractor semi-trailer was west. It is reported that the truck tractor failed to give one-half of the roadway and struck the back left of the school bus."
The driver of the school bus, identified as 68-year-old La Vel Tukes of Jasper, was not injured. There were six children on the school bus, three of which were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck tractor, identified as 33-year-old Quintario Foster of Maryville, La., was not injured. Foster was cited for failing to give one-half of the roadway.

Information is currently limited, but what we do know is that around 5pm this evening, a Jasper School Bus was delivering students to their homes. Somehow an 18-wheeler hit the back of the bus.
From what we have been told, there were no reported injuries.
