Searchers in missing persons case investigate property in Kirbyville

Sandi Saulsbury

At 8:51 am, Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard called ETB journalist, Sandi Saulsbury requesting to speak to her in Saulsbury's yard.

Once outside, Saulsbury was met with Jasper County, Newton County, and FBI Officials.

Havard said that his office received a tip regarding a missing persons case. The man, Joshua Larkin has been missing since November 27, 2022.

There have been numerous tips, with this one landing on Saulsbury's property in Kirbyville.

Currently, there are dozens of law enforcement agents combing the property behind and around the residence. Havard said just before 10 am that no evidence had been discovered and requested permission to search the property of Saulsbury's mother, Judy Miller. Miller spoke with Havard and gave him permission to search her property as well.

Newton County Sheriff Colton Havard said, "This is a joint investigation with Jasper County and Newton County Sheriff's Departments, The Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers, and the FBI. We are following any and all tips in a missing person's case. It's time to find this boy and put this family at ease."

This is a developing story. ETB will update our readers as more information becomes available.
