Search update on possible drowning

Search update at 5 pm February 20, 2024 at Hwy 190 East Bridge

We continued our search today with negative results. Beauregard Sheriff’s Office and Texas Parks and Wildlife searched the water and shoreline by boats using sonar equipment.

Searchers today were members of the Newton County Sheriff's Office, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Bon Wier and Merryville Volunteer Fire Department's, and Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office.

The Family was visited by the Beauregard Sheriff’s Office Chaplin. Food and drinks provided by Calvary Baptist Church and the Trucking Company in Merryville. The search will continue in the morning.
