Rumors of unidentified person targeting schools have been investigated

Kirbyville ISD has released a statement regarding rumors of the school being 'targeted'.

It has come to the attention of high school staff that there is a rumor about schools being "targeted". The rumor has been investigated and at this time there is no evidence that there is any truth to this rumor. Students that have spread the rumor have been disciplined, and the list in question is of schools that are receiving assistance for low test scores - Kirbyville schools were not even on the list. Please contact the school if you have evidence of any threat to students or staff of Kirbyville CISD. Thank you for your assistance in maintaining the safety and security of our schools.
