Updated information: Roll-over accident near Roganville

The Texas Department of Public Safety arrested a Jasper man following a crash on U.S. Highway 96, near Farm-to-Market Road 2245, that occurred Saturday, February 3.

At approximately 4:45 a.m., a 2022 Toyota Corolla was traveling north. It is reported that the driver was intoxicated and traveled into the east ditch, where he struck two road signs and a culvert, causing the Toyota to overturn multiple times.

Roganville Volunteer Fire Department was called out to assist.

The driver, identified as 20-year-old Noah Nichols of Jasper, was not injured. Nichols was however, placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor offense.
