Richard S. Chamberlain September 1, 1934 - June 25, 2024 U.S. Veteran
A Celebration of Richard S. Chamberlain’s Life, age 89, of Jasper, Texas, will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Jasper, Texas with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, Texas. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Church.
Richard passed away on Tuesday June 25, 2024 in Jasper, Texas.
A native of Bastrop, Louisiana and resident of Jasper, Texas for over forty years, Richard had been an accountant since 1984 and was the owner and operator of Chamberlain Business Services in Jasper for over forty years. He was a former employee of Georgia-Pacific and Louisiana Pacific in Jasper, Texas and with Anthony Forest Products in El Dorado, Arkansas for over five years. Richard was a deacon of the First Baptist Church of Jasper, Texas.
Richard was a godly husband, brother and father and greatly loved by his family. He was married to his bride for 65 years. He served in the Air Force during their early marriage. He loved his children and grandchildren. His love of fishing and being at the lake was a family affair…so many treasured memories. Richard loved the Lord and we know he’s walking the streets of gold.
Richard is survived by his wife of 65 years, Becky Chamberlain of Jasper, Texas; son, Neil Chamberlain and wife Lynda of Harrisburg, Texas; daughter, Carol Chamberlain Lozoya and husband Ruben of Montgomery, Texas; sister, Monica “Monty” Harris and husband Charles of Bastrop, Louisiana; grandchildren, Lauren Chamberlain, Elizabeth Chamberlain Jonathan Chamberlain, Luke Loyoza and fiancée Molly Condon, Jacob Lozoya and wife Tiffany and Holly Lozoya and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilos and Ruby Chamberlain.
