Police are searching for a hit and run driver who struck a bicyclist in Jasper

Jasper Police Department is investigating a hit and run that happened Saturday evening at the Valero Fuel Stop on Highway 190 East in Jasper.

Very little is currently known about the incident, but JPD Lieutenant Garrett Foster said that the victim, Russel Hebert was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in the parking lot and was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital for injuries to his leg.

Police are still searching for the driver of the vehicle that struck Hebert.
