One vehicle accident sends Kirbyville woman to Jasper Memorial Hospital Thursday

The Texas Department of Public Safety investigated a crash on Farm-to-Market Road 252, near County Rd 298, today, March 28.

 

This happened at approximately 11:55 a.m., when a 2008 BMW passenger car was traveling south. It is reported that the driver fell asleep, left the roadway to the right, and struck a guardrail. The passenger car then traveled partially down the concrete embankment.


According to those on scene, the vehicle overturned after hitting the bridge over Walnut Run, trapping the occupant inside.


Jasper Volunteer Fire Department, and Tri-Community VFD were on scene freeing the victim identified as 73-year-old Brenda Marshall of Kirbyville. Jasper County Sheriff's Department, and Xxon Towing Jasper did their part and Jasper EMS transported her to CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
