Celebrating the Life of Todd Knight
With heavy hearts, we invite you to a Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Todd Knight, beloved husband, father, son, and friend, who passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, September 20, 2024. The service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Jasper, Texas. A time of visitation with Todd’s family will begin at 10:00 a.m. before the service.
Born and raised in Jasper, Texas, Todd, 57, graduated from Jasper High School and pursued his education at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. For over 30 years, Todd dedicated his life to serving his community as an insurance agent. And most recently, he and his wife, Charra, owned the local Allstate agency. He was a man of strong faith and love, an active member of First Baptist Church of Jasper, where he gave of his time and talents on various committees, most notably the Kitchen Committee. It was there that he shared his passion for cooking with his church family, a gift that will be dearly missed. Todd also served his church well by being an active deacon.
Todd was a man who enjoyed life, whether it was cheering on the Dallas Cowboys or Houston Astros, hunting and fishing in the great outdoors, or simply cherishing quiet moments with his family, the people who meant the world to him.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 28 years, Charra Knight, and his two cherished daughters, Allison Knight of Jasper and Ashley Knight of Shreveport, Louisiana. He is also survived by his loving parents, Joe and Carolyn Knight of Jasper, his mother-in-law, Sammye Looper and her husband Bob of Jasper, his brother, Troy Knight and wife Tabitha of Southport, North Carolina, his nephew Cameron Knight of Simms, North Carolina, and niece Carly Dupin and husband Chase of Lynchburg, Virginia. Though his grandparents, Wilson and Mary Lou Knight and Leonard and Irma Lightsey, preceded him in death, their legacy lives on through Todd’s incredible spirit and the family he adored.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to Gideon
International or Operation Christmas Child, two causes close to Todd’s heart.
Arrangements for the service are being handled with care by Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.
