Obituary of Shirley Sheppard 29 May 1944 - 02 Feb 2025

Shirley Sheppard, 80, of Buna died Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Baptist Hospital In Beaumont.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday, Feb. 7, at Central Baptist Church in Buna with burial at Trout Creek Cemetery in Call. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna.

Shirley was born May 29, 1944 to Winfred and Ethylene (Lewis) Benson, and had lived in Buna most of her life.

She is survived by her husband, James Sheppard of Buna; children, Lisa Smith and Ricky of Buna; Barbara Weatherford of Hemphill; and James Sheppard and Sheri of Lumberton; 3 brothers, Hollis Perigo of Georgia; Lee Perigo of Hemphill; and William Perigo of Kirbyville; 2 sisters, Charlotte Perigo of Mauriceville and Jessica Cline of Kirbyville ; 8 grandchildren, Clinton Weatherford, Kandice Weatherford, William Weatherford, David Smith, Dustin Smith, Christopher Sheppard, Hannah Sheppard, and Colin Harris; and 8 great grandchildren, Adiline Smith, Vivianna Smith, Alleigh Smith, Kyncie Meshell, Tristan Meshell, Michael Weatherford, Maddilynn Reynolds, Cortlynn Reynolds, and one on the way.
