Obituary of Sadie Lynn Weathers December 9, 1955 - March 4, 2025

A Celebration of Sadie Weather’s Life, age 69, of Jasper, Texas, will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Beech Grove Baptist Church, 10008 FM 777, Jasper, Texas. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2025 at Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas.

Sadie was born on December 9, 1955, in Lufkin, Texas, to James and Jessie Sims Poland, and she passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

Sadie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was marked by kindness, faith, and unbelievable amount of love for her friends and family. She was a cherished member of Beech Grove Baptist Church, where she found strength and comfort in her faith. Throughout her life, Sadie dedicated herself to nurturing her family and creating a legacy of love that will endure for generations.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years Ricky Weathers. Her daughter, Renee Weathers Smith and husband Barry Smith; her grandchildren, Shelby Johnston, Garrett Fisher and wife Caitlyn Fisher, Justice Stephens, Katelyn Crouch, Ashlyn Smith, Brienne Segovia, Mehaili Smith, and Malorie Smith. Her great-grandchildren, Tatum Mouton, Trace Johnston, Landon Fisher and Olivia Fisher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jessie Poland; her sisters, Laura Vann, Janet Beard, and Rhonda Sullivan; and her father-in-law, Nolan Weathers.

Sadie’s family and friends will forever remember her caring spirit, her infectious laughter, and the countless memories she leaves behind. A woman of deep faith, Sadie found joy in the simple pleasures of life and touched the hearts of all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Beach Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 10008 FM 777, Jasper, Texas, 75951.

Sadie’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
