Obituary of Peggy Ann Manry November 25, 1930 - December 27, 2024

PEGGY ANN MANRY, 94, a resident of Temple, Texas and a native of Tyler County, Texas passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 at her home at Stoney Brook of Belton.


Funeral services will be held on January 2, 2025 at Stringer Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, Texas at 2 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville. Mark Tolar of First Baptist Church Woodville will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Mike Manry, Fred Manry, James Staats, Matthew Staats, Scott Mann and Jeff Mann.


Peggy was born November 25, 1930 to the union of Annie and John B. Mann. She graduated from Colmesneil High School in 1947 and from Sam Houston University on January 26, 1952 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She started her teaching career in Corrigan, Texas. She retired from teaching after 32 years with the last 17 years at Spring Shadows Elementary School in Houston, Texas.


She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Fred B. Manry and her brothers and sisters Bill Mann, Blanche Mann Anglin, Sam D. Mann, Tom Dick Mann, Patsy Mann Sutton and Susie Mann Sutton.


She is survived by her son, Mike Manry and wife Susan of Wichita, Kansas; son, Fred B. Manry of Parachute, Colorado; daughter, Margaret Manry Staats and husband James of Temple, Texas; grandchildren, Britni Bradford, Beth Sautter, Ben Manry, Christina Manry, Annabelle Manry, and Matthew Staats; great-grandchild Cailyn, Colton and Cora Bradford and many wonderful nieces and nephews.


Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 202 S. Charlton St., Woodville, Texas 75979.


Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
