Obituary of Ola Estelle Whitmire September 14, 1937 - January 18, 2025

Ola Estelle Whitmire, 87 of Buna, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025 at her home.

Funeral service will be 10 am, Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Central Baptist Church in Buna with burial at Morse Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Friday, January 24th also at Central Baptist Church.

Estelle was born September 14, 1937 in Spurger, TX to John Dryden and Ola ( Williams). She was a graduate of Saratoga High School. She married Bud Whitmire September 16, 1955 and were married 67 years until his passing.

She is survived by children, Clifton Whitmire and Nancy of Buna, Burnis Whitmire and Robin of Buna, Gay Nell Begnaud and Pete of Buna, Teresa Smith and George of Buna; grandchildren, Holly Griffith and Jeff, Amber Harris and Jason, Keith Whitmire and Candice, Bryan Whitmire and Michell, Micah Begnaud and Casey, Hannah Begnaud, Dylan Smith and Taylor, Brooke Smith, Paige Smith; 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.B. (Bud) Whitmire; grandson, Daniel Begnaud.
