Norma Marie Ellis Sisney of Conroe, TX, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Monday, January 06, 2025 at The Woodlands Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Spring, TX.

Norma was born to Travis M. and Ora Mae Ellis of Brookeland, TX who raised her and her 5 Brothers and 5 Sisters in the Nurture and Abmonition of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Whether President, Prisoner, or anyone in between, she treated everyone with the same level of kindness and respect. She was always willing to lend an ear and encouraging word to the many in this fallen world. Though she will truly be missed by many still here, we can only Imagine the Joyous Reunion in Heaven still awaiting everyone who’s trust is in Jesus.

While still in High School, Norma worked in the County Courthouse of Jasper, TX. She also was a carhop at Top Burger, roller skates and all. After High School she went to Panola College in Carthage, TX. She worked several jobs one of which doing the footwork for Congressman, Cliff Ammons getting Toledo Bend Lake built. She worked for years processing Health Insurance claims always ensuring that her kids would not be without.

As a wife and Mom, you could not find anyone more loving and devoted to her family. She raised 3 children in the nurture and admonition of The Lord as well. They grew up knowing that their Mom was always in their corner no matter what. Her Daughter Brenda once said, “One thing about Mom, if we came to her with something terrible, she would keep her cool and respond, OK let’s figure it out together.”

Norma is preceded in death by her Husband, David LD Sisney, Mother, Ora Mae Ellis, her Father Travis M. Ellis, Her Brothers T.M. Ellis Jr, Cecil Ellis, Charlie Ellis, Donald Ellis, and Sam Ellis, her Sisters, Ruby Scarborough, Laverne Powell, Margie Powell, and Wanda Singleton; and her Daughter Brenda Jean Andrews.

Norma is survived by her sister Annie Merle Roebuck of Brookeland, TX, her son John David Andrews and his wife Linda of New Waverly, TX and her son Keith Dewayne Andrews and his wife Laurie of Lead Hill, AR.

She was very loved by her seven grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
