Obituary of Myrtis Gibson Martindale November 5, 1945 - March 5, 2025

Myrtis Gibson Martindale, 79, of Woodville passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025 in Woodville, Texas.

Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2025 at Martindale Cemetery in Jasper, Texas. Officiating will be Brother Jay Abernathy and Brother Mark Tolar. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Quade Allison, Drake Allison, Micah Wagner, Matthew Wagner, Marcus Wagner, and Cale Lepard.

Myrtis was born November 5, 1945 to Robert A. and Juanita Jones Gibson in Dallas, Texas. She was a 1963 graduate of Jasper High School in Jasper, Texas. Myrtis had worked as a Teacher’s Aid for many years with the Woodville I.S.D. She enjoyed traveling and served as a travel agent for many years. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Jack Martindale, Jr.; son, Sidney Jack Martindale, III; father and mother, Byron and Juanita Francis; and father-in-law, Sidney Jack Martindale, Sr.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharice Allison and husband Trey and Shelly Clamon and husband Max all of Woodville; mother-in-law, Loucille Martindale of Jasper; daughter-in-law, Michele Martindale of Woodville; grandchildren, Quade Allison and wife Brooke, Drake Allison and wife Gracin, Matthew Wagner and wife Shelby, Holly Lepard and husband Cale, Micah Wagner, and Marcus Wagner; great grandchildren, Emerie Lepard, Ainsley Allison, and Quint Allison.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 202 S. Charlton St., Woodville, Texas.
